People of certain classes can not move forward until the education system breaks the chain of ignorance. Fast Food chains, airport jobs, retail and many other professions look for the most ignorant to hire, as they are easy to mold. The fear that the capitalistic system injects into lower class citizens keeps them frozen in progress, frozen in life and frozen in ignorance. The USA is suppose to be the leader of the world and yet we have the saddest conditions right here at home. There is something about capitalistic countries lending a hand to help outsiders while they let their own drown. So many 'civilized' nations fail to uplift and enrich their own citizens, while becoming crusaders for third world countries in need. While these capitalistic countries convey freedom from socialism, socialism is what blindly threads these countries together.
In the USA, protesters have been screaming injustice since early 2000, it has become more obvious that the rich are taken care of, while the middle and lower income class have to fend for themselves. In these very countries such as the USA and UK, people are without proper health care, taxed up the wazoo, homeless, living with lack of proper resources, ignorant about many life principles and void of realizing dreams.
In many education systems in these established countries, only the private or suburban schools give their students the proper tools to advance. In the USA, if you are not born of upper middle class or higher, all you will have is pure determination to get out of the lower rat race. It seems that the education system is flawed in these capitalistic countries.
Accounting, moral conduct, life principles and survival skills seem to all be left to the boy's and girl's scouts or the parents to teach their kids. While kids are learning how to throw a basketball or figure out complex algebra problems, these same kids fail at money management, make poor decisions or lack any interest in their personal desires. Because of ignorance they easily follow the masses.
Today's capitalistic child and teen is being tricked with high tech gear, ever changing fashion and celebrity lifestyles. Many of today's youth aspire to be famous, which is not really a career. If the USA and many other established economies keep dumbing down their citizens to be able to manipulate them, where will the world be in ten years. With emphasis and aggressive sports and Unitarian American pride, what's next?
If today's youth is ignorant on the consequences of poor money management, decisions about love and the pursuit of 'real' happiness, the world is truly in a deeper deficit than they realize. With all of the technology to make things easier, tomorrow's adult is vulnerable to tricks and traps of the elite. If we don't help our kids today, tomorrow's deficit will surely wipe them out.
If you need any reassurance, rent documentary "Trouble the Water", without proper education and life lessons, many people are truly trapped.
